One of my favorite electric tester devices

Today I am going to review one of my favourite testers, the Fluke 1AC-A1-II Volt-Alert AC Non-Contact Voltage tester [http://voltagetester.blogspot.com]. We have utilized products from Fluke for years and I have to commend their consistency in bringing out quality products which are very simple to use and above all, reliable. This Fluke tester is great like all their products.

With the Fluke 1AC-A1-II Volt-Alert AC Non-Contact Voltage Tester all you've to do is touch it's tip to a terminal strip, line, outlet or cord to know if it is energized or not(voltage in the line). It is very simple; if the Fluke's tip flashes red and makes a beeping sound then you are certain there's a voltage in the line. It's great for people in any profession wherever they're often working in areas in which live wires may be dangerous, this tool can be absolutely vital. It doesn't who you are: professional; electrician, maintenance man or just a house owner, this tool can be very easily used by everyone. When it will comes to something which is usually as risky as energized wires, you require something which is continual trustworthy, in this area Fluke gets 100 out of 100. This voltage tester comes with Voltbeat technology and continuous self-test, meaning that the device is constantly testing itself so you always know it is always functioning properly. A two year warranty is also provided with it and it detects line voltage from 90VAC to 600VAC.

As with most non-contact voltage tester the Fluke 1AC-A1-II Volt-Alert AC Non-Contact is not immune to the occasional problem. I have found that when using it it will occasionally offer a false positive indication. An errant voltage present in a cable near a hot cable can be sometimes known to cause this. Nevertheless this just isn't a Fluke issue, but something which seems to take place in all non-contact devices and it's probably unavoidable for that reason. Unlike when I used some other testers within the past, I have in no way been given a false negative by the Fluke 1AC-A1-II Volt-Alert AC Non-Contact and then get zapped (not a fun experience). I also love the fact that when a wire is energized the fluke will light up and also emit a beep, this is excellent in dark areas when it is possible to often not see much. The Fluke 1AC-A1-II Volt-Alert AC Non-Contact is also a lot sturdier and much better created then many of the previous devices that I have used in the past, particularly the problem of their tendency to melt in the sun during warm sunny days.

I would certainly recommend the Fluke 1AC-A1-II Volt-Alert AC Non-Contact voltage tester to anyone who is looking for a reliable voltage tester.
