- 1). Tailor your approach to the needs of the person you're talking with. Someone looking to buy a bidet may have certain needs that specific information can satisfy, while the average American may just be interested in an overview of the different kinds of bidets.
- 2). Mention the four different types. You'll need to cover: the spray model, the combination toilet and bidet, the sink style (also known as the over-the-rim style) and the flushing rim. Go into detail about each individual one. Explain the differences and the possible advantages of each variety.
- 3). Discuss how the over-the-rim is the most traditional and common in that it sports a regular faucet and looks like a short sink. This variety is an older version and is typically the most common type of bidet people reference.
- 4). Detail how the heated/flushing rim differs in that the water enters from under the rim and travels into the bowl (like a toilet). For some this may be a cleaner and more viable option since the water doesn't spray out nor does it have a cumbersome faucet.
- 5). Talk about how the combination is perhaps more functional for the elderly since they can sit on it and use it during a visit to the toilet. This is the more affordable and space saving option and would probably be preferred by many Americans wanting a bidet.
- 6). Explain the popularity of the spray model in Europe and how it is used to clean oneself on a regular basis. Spray models are often cheaper and (along with the over-the-rim) are most common today in foreign countries.
- 7). Close with your own preference, if you have one. Mention pricing, installation or any other related knowledge you might possess.
