- 1). Put on your shirt.
- 2). Cut a 1/2-wide notch above the shoulders. The notch is intended to be a place holder for later. Depending on how thick you want the sleeve to be, you can cut about 1 inch away from the neckline for a thin strap or 1 inch in from the outside of the shoulder for a wider strap.
- 3). Cut from the bottom of the armpit to the notch that you made in Step 1 at the shoulder. When you make the first cut, you need to cut from the armpit to the shoulder going up the front of the shirt. Do this for the arms, then flip the shirt over. Cut from the arm pit to the notch in the shoulder going up the back of the shirt. Repeat for the other sleeve.
