I always tell people to try to write a blog post every day.
This is a task that my be daunting for most people however if you did that the spiders or Google will take notice of your website and crawl the pages or index them.
You should post at least 3 times a week.
You should post a the same time.
if you don't you may lose readership.
Here are 3 software that will assist you in getting loads of traffic to you site.

1. Every time you make a blog post you should ping it.
   A good free service for that is Pingoat dot com.
   Pingoat is a service that pings or notifies a number of services that keep track of weblogs and publish them.
   By pinging, you let the services know that your blog has been updated and hence, they crawl and index your site, publishing your blog contents, thus increasing your blog's popularity.
   
2. Onlywire dot com is a free bookmarking site.
   It will distribute you blog post to 40 top social media sites including Face book and twitter.
   Onlywire allows bloggers to submit large volume of content to the social media sites at the same time creating back links to your blog.
   
3. Videos is a great way to generate traffic to your site.
   YouTube is the third most used search engine and it is owned by Google.
   It is easier to get ranked on YouTube than on Google because most people are not using videos to market their business YET! A great tool for video distribution is Traffic Geyser, though not for free, they will distribute your content to all the top video sharing sites including YouTube.
   They will also distribute your content to article marketing directories, podcasts.

A good strategy is to write a blog post than ping it.
Bookmark your post and make a video out of it.
