  Iraq is one of the great destinations for tourists in the east, offering visitors a chance to wander in many important historical ruins listed on the Unesco World Heritage List, such as Hatra, Ashur and Samarra. Al-Mansour Hotel

• The Al-Mansour Hotel is located on the banks of the Tigris River in the heart of Baghdad. Stunning views of the city were possible from the five-star hotel's windows, but signs of recent political unrest have taken a toll on many buildings in the neighborhood. The surrounding area teems with activity during daylight hours, full of small food stores and barber shops.
