For any of you who have clipped or shaved a horse, you know how much more can go into trying to do a perfect job. It is hard enough trying to clip a part of your horse let alone do the entire horse in one day. However, it can be done if you follow these simple steps.
Step One:
Make sure your horse is clean. This is one of the most simple things you can do, however many people don't know this trick. If you wash your horse the day of or the day before you clip your horse then it will keep your horses skin clean and the hair separated and not full of dirt and dust. This will lessen the chance of a clipper breaking and it will speed up the process of clipping.
Step Two:
Make sure you have a lot of time. These things can be very time-consuming. Therefore make sure you start early enough to have the whole day to spend if you need to. Another reason you want to start as early as possible is because when you are done you are going to want to give your horse another bath. This will make sure you have all the
Step Three:
The last one is make sure you have another clipper just incase. There has been several situations that I have been in, or have heard about, where you are half way done clipping your horse and the clippers then either go dull or break. I know clippers can be expensive, so if anything make sure you no someone else that has an extra pair of clippers just incase.
