Australia Immigration Visa Subclasses

The good thing about Australia is that its visa program addresses different needs of its immigrants and accordingly segregates its visa subclasses. Worker visa gets that most attention as the benefits of working in Australia far outweigh its other visa forms such as tourist and student visas. To live and work in Australia is a major charm among the immigrants and DIAC keeps it going by its assortment of Australia Immigration Visa Subclasses.

The most prominent of the visa subclasses are Employer Sponsored Workers Visa, Professionals and other Skilled Migrants Visa and Business Visa.

1.         Employer Sponsored Worker Visa:    This visa is meant for people who get sponsored by the Australian or Overseas employers to live and work in Australia.  The visa gets classified as temporary or permanent.

1.1       Temporary work visa (subclass 457):            this visa program helps the Australian employers to sponsor skilled immigrants to work at their enterprise in Australia, under temporary visa. The employers are allowed to bring-in a good number of skilled immigrants on various positions and different occupations.

1.2       Permanent work visa:-

Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186):         The ENS program allows the employers to permanently employ skilled immigrants both from overseas and locally. The existing employees under temporary visa are also allowed to avail sponsorship under permanent work visa.

Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (subclass 187):       RSMS is one more of the visa programs that allows DIAC to suffice manpower requirements at the regional, periphery or remote areas of Australia to sustain an even growth. The employees are required to work at the designated area in Australia. 

2.         Professionals and other Skilled Migrant Visa:            This visa is being governed by Skillselect under the category of General Skilled Migration and allows the skilled immigrants, who don't get sponsored by an employer, to secure a particular occupation in Australia as per NOC classification. Skillselect is an online system that filters the available talent pool through a point's based selection. The applicants are evaluated for their education, experience, skills and adaptability and allotted points on each scale. A minimum of 60 points is made mandatory by Skillselect to keep you eligible on immigration.

3.         Business visa: This visa is for the entrepreneurs or business owners, who wish to visit Australia to expand business, attend a seminar, conduct a meeting or undertake a market research. The business visas are of two type's i.e.

            3.1       Business Innovation and Investment Visa (Provisional):        This visa subclass is meant for the entrepreneurs who are coming to Australia for the first time, with business on purpose. The visa is issued for a certain time period during which the person can make an early ground and business associations to take the work ahead.

3.2       Business Innovation and Investment Visa (Permanent):       This visa subclass is meant for the individuals who have established the business to a certain level and have also become eligible for permanent residency.

Australia Immigration visa subclasses give a window to the skilled immigrants to accordingly place their application. Different subclasses go on to address the different needs of the immigrants.
