Removing favorites from the address bar in Internet Explorer 8

• 1). Open Internet Explorer 8 by clicking IE8 icon on the desktop, start menu, or task bar at the bottom of the screen.
  
  
• 2). Click the downward arrow to the right of the address bar. Wait a few seconds for recently visited websites, history and favorites to appear.
  
  
• 3). Located the favorite to be removed and click the red "x" icon to the right of the favorite's address. If the favorites are not showing, click the blue downward arrow next to the word "favorites." However, the favorites and history should appear by default once you click arrow next to the the address bar itself.
