Definition of Sight Picture
Definition:
The sight picture is what a shooter sees when aiming a gun. This may consist of iron sights and a target, scope crosshairs and a target, or some other type of reticle, dot, etc, and a target.
In other words, the sight picture is the relationship of the sights to the target, as viewed by the person aiming the firearm.
For the most part, there are two types of sight picture: Six o'clock hold, and hunting sight picture.
Of these, I prefer the latter because it allows for more precise aiming, at more varied distances.
