How to Adjust a Craftsman 9-Inch Band Saw

    • 1). Tighten the bad saw until the blade will only move a quarter of an inch.

    • 2). Move the thrust bearing so that it's a hair's length away from the saw blade.

    • 3). Adjust the saw blade guides until the teeth of the blade barely poke out.

    • 4). Turn the tracking until the blade is in the center of the band saw wheels.

    • 5). Close the wheel covers.

    • 6). Lower the blade guide to its working height.

    • 7). Start the saw to make sure its properly set in its tracking.

    • 8). Tighten the blade until it stops vibrating.
