Airsoft is a game which requires not only your skill, wit, and agility, but also your ability to be honest all throughout.
Participating in airsoft games with an Airsoft Electric Gun, or AEG is emulating combat and good conduct must be observed accordingly.
Since airsoft ammunition do not leave a mark on your target, all players should uphold the code of honor and call their own hits.
This makes airsoft a game of honesty where opposing teams rely on each other's code of honor in calling out hits.
Participants should bear in mind that calling out a hit is part of the fun.
If you do not call out your hits, it is synonymous to cheating and would degrade the quality of your game-play experience.
When you are hit, call it out immediately, raise your hands, and withdraw from the game.
In some cases, participants are given a rag, usually red in color, which they pull out and display on their head or body, after calling out a hit.
Even for just a split second that you thought you are hit, which you probably were, uphold the code of honor and call it out.
Furthermore, bear in mind that dead persons do not talk, or give signals, much more pass intelligence information on the radio.
If you got hit and called it out, you must observe the code of silence and should not respond to any attempt to talk to you by anybody.
Doing so would be practically the same as cheating.
If you see a participant with raised hands or with a kill rag displayed on him slowly withdrawing from the game, do not try to talk to that person or attempt to ask him about any information since that would be tantamount to being dishonest and you would be in violation of the code of honor.
There are also cases where opposing combatants simultaneously come face to face with each other.
Should this happen, the parley rule will then come into play.
This rule acknowledges both combatants' abilities and allows them to back away from each other without any argument as to who made the first shot.
There are also times when you are but a few feet away from your opponent's back and he does not have any inkling that you are right behind him.
In this case, you do not have to pull the trigger but you can yell "bang-bang" instead.
This is because shooting your opponent at a close distance with a plastic pellet hurtling at seven hundred feet per second can cause bodily harm.
You must observe the "bang-bang" rule at all times to avoid any injury.
If you will be participating in airsoft games, you must observe certain courtesies and conduct necessary to the sport.
This is an activity where strict adherence to the code of honor is required and if you want to participate, you should be ready to observe it.
