After the attack in Pakistan done by US forces that resulted in the death of Osama Bin Laden, and Pakistan has proven to become a powder keg where stability is concerned. The United States executed a surgical and calculated military strike against the building in Pakistan that held Osama Bin Laden, and killed him in the process. The attack that killed Bin Laden upset the Taliban and Al Qaida, this incited a good deal of conflict within each group…and there has been an outcry for revenge. In an attempt to gain this revenge there has been an attack on Pakistan conducted by Al Qaida.
The United States proceeded into Pakistan without the direct approval of the nation of Pakistan, and while this did not draw the condemnation of the country it did draw the disapproval of various groups. Among these groups are terrorist cells and other dangerous people who desired to gain revenge as a result of Bin Laden's death, and this manifested in an attack on a Pakistani military base. The attack caused the deaths of 12 Pakistani military personnel, and this has put the entire world on edge for more conflicts within Pakistan and possibly America.
A terrorist attack on the United States in reprisal of the killing of Osama Bin Laden would be catastrophic where the value of the USD on the online forex exchange would be concerned. Since the attack in Pakistan many believe that an attack on the US is very possible and in fact probable, what this would mean for the economy is anything but good. Stepped up security throughout the United States and now in Pakistan will likely deter any further aggression; however, anything remains possible. When there are determined and trained individuals who are angry enough to kill and risk their lives anything can happen, the US learned this in 2001 on September 11th.
The increasingly volatile situation in Pakistan could easily draw US involvement since they are obligated to be involved, due to having started the incident. Such problems have truly created a very nasty situation for not only Pakistan but the world's community as well. There is a huge world of possibility that exists where foreign relations and violence are concerned; however, the continued violent incursions that are being made by the US do not make things any easier. There has to be a very real desire for change and this desire must be accompanied by action and not grandiose talk.
